Both the iOS App Store and Google Play would never allow Infinite Armory to exist in their stores as a native app. Hopefully both legislative and civil pressure will force Apple and Google to allow side-loading of 3rd party apps soon relaxing their gatekeeping behavior. But in the meantime:
Infinite Armory is currently available as a Progressive Web App (PWA). PWAs offer many of the same features as regular apps—like offline access, push notifications, an icon on your home screen, and notification badges—but without the restrictions and policies of traditional app stores. Some of these features are already supported and some of them are currently being developed.
Installing on iOS
To install Infinite Armory on iOS, open the homepage in Safari. Then, tap the “Share” button (the square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down and select “Add to Home Screen”, then tap “Add.” The PWA will now appear on your home screen like a regular app.
Installing on Android
To install Infinite Armory on Android, open the homepage in Chrome. Look for the “Install” prompt that appears at the bottom of the screen or tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and select “Add to Home screen.” Follow the instructions to name the app and confirm the installation. The PWA will then appear on your home screen, just like a native app.
